Ammonium Polyphosphate (APP) is a compound formed by the combination of ammonium and phosphate. In agriculture, it is often used as a fertilizer, providing essential nutrients for plant growth. Additionally, it is widely utilized in the chemical and industrial sectors. Currently, APP is the primary component in most commonly distributed powder fire extinguishers. In its fluorinated form, APP settles on the fire-affected area, preventing contact with oxygen and thereby effectively suppressing the fire.
